Rev. Dr. Mark Newton
Rev. Dr. Mark Newton is an ordained interfaith minister. He serves the Congregation both as a member and as a volunteer chaplain, sanctioned by its Board of Trustees. Mark assists Rev. Peg with a range of pastoral needs, and officiates rights of passage for non members who seek assistance with weddings, commitment ceremonies, and memorials. He is active with Multifaith Works, Seattle's Shanti Program, and other non-profit organizations devoted to providing emotional and spiritual support to the isolated and ill.
Mark has been a Unitarian Universalist since 1977. He is a retired organization development consultant, university professor, and corporate executive. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He lives in Seattle with his partner of many years and enjoys being a father, grandfather and avid boater.
