Gentle Yoga

This class is a gentle flow-style of Hatha yoga. It is intended for those new to yoga as well as those wishing to deepen and strengthen their practice. This is a time to reconnect your mind and body with your spirit in that we focus on both the physical and meditative aspects of yoga. Class is held in the sanctuary from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturdays. Please bring a yoga mat and wear clothes that are comfortable to move around in. If you are new to the class, please plan on arriving 10 minutes early for a brief introduction and overview.

T'ai Chi Class

WSUU Member Karin Cumming has been studying T’ai Chi for fifteen years. She and her teacher, Paul Boyarin, will offer a class of initial instruction in the basic moves of T’ai Chi Chuan. It can improve your energy and balance and potential for healing and self-defense. T’ai Chi is a great stress reducer and aids in flexibility and relaxation. Gently increases strength and internal power. Good for all age. All are welcome! To participate, please contact the church office (office@wsuu.org).

Friday Night Flicks

“A Canterbury Tale.” Bob, Peter, and Alison meet in a remote village where Bob mistakenly stops off just short of reaching his destination of Canterbury. Immediately, they are thrown into a mystery of a village assailant who poured glue into Alison’s hair as she was trying to find her way along the roads in the dark of night. The three set out to discover the secret and how it relates to Colpeper, the Justice of the Peace. The story of discovery reveals that all four have their own hidden secrets waiting to be drawn out, explored, and experienced. Following the screening of the movie, discussion will center on themes illustrated by the narrative.

Partner Church Weekend

The annual fund-raising gala for the East Shore Unitarian Church and Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation Partner Church Ministry will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at WSUU, 7141 California Ave. SW, Seattle. Tickets for the event, which features a four-course traditional Hungarian dinner and dance performance, are $20 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. Reservations are requested and can be made after services each week.
