Music has the power to entertain, transport, inspire, and transcend-- to touch every emotion. For millennia music has fostered both spiritual expression and experience. This service will include a range of musical offerings designed to reach the heart, mind, and spirit. As we listen to the sounds and the silences, we will be encouraged to notice our deeper internal experiences. Today on this traditional Easter Sunday, we will celebrate the earth and its generous gift of life. Expect some of our annual traditions…a chocolate communion, and encouragement to wear a hat for our annual fun picture! The choir will sing a special song that celebrates the earth.

Rev. Bruce, Minister of our Evergreen Fellowship in Marysville, was formerly a partner in a consulting group of ministers called SoulTenders. But tending souls is not only the work of ministers. Or, said the other way around, are we not all ministers with the responsibility of tending souls? But what is each person's unique calling? Whose souls, and how shall we tend them? And how do we figure this out?

April 29, 10:30 a.m. “Becoming Our Own Superheroes: Standing on the Edge of Self-Realization”

In the journey from childhood to adulthood, at some point we reach a place where we must make our own minds up about the values and beliefs we hold.  As children, we are given values and beliefs by those who raise us. Part of the journey into the fullness of adulthood is the mindful examination of this inheritance and the process of readopting or replacing those which no longer fit the person we've become. Three members of our beloved WSUU community will speak about arriving at this threshold and what they discovered there.
